Donation Pick Up in Charlotte & Surrounding Areas Makes Helping Those in Need Easy
Finding a donation is simple: Just take a stroll through your garage, basement, or attic. Look through your closet for clothes that no longer fit or that are no longer in style. What may seem like clutter to you can be turned into valuable funding for kidney disease research, prevention, and education. National Kidney Services (NKS), a local charity serving North Carolina and upstate South Carolina, donates all proceeds from your generous donations of used clothing and household items to the National Kidney Foundation, which has a Four-Star rating from Charity Navigator and is the recipient of the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Charity Alliance Seal.
It's easy and convenient to make a donation in Charlotte, or surrounding communities because NKS provides you with so many ways to be generous. You can donate items from:
- Home – Contact our charity in Charlotte by calling or filling out our online form to be added to our rotational donation pick up call list. This allows you to make a donation every four to six weeks. Our drivers operate Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to dark.
- Work – Our donation pick up drivers will happily come to your place of business to pick up used office equipment, furniture, or donations from office clothing drives and toy drives.
- Community sales and garage sales – Donating unsold items to a good charity is a wonderful way to help those in need while getting rid of clutter once and for all. NKS welcomes donors to schedule a special pick up for especially large or heavy donation loads.
- Value Village locations – If you prefer to drop off your donation, donate at any of the seven North Carolina Value Village thrift department stores, including Charlotte locations at Freedom Drive, Central Avenue, and South Boulevard, and in Gastonia, Kannapolis, and Mooresville.
Wherever or however you decide to donate to charity, NKS can provide you with a tax receipt because all of your contributions to our charity are tax deductible.*
Remember that whether you live in Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Belmont, Statesville, or beyond, NKS offers donation pick up service in your area so that you can help those in need.
