Residents of Columbus, Dayton & Delaware Can Donate Toys and Help Kidney Disease Patients in Need
Residents of Columbus, Dayton, Washington Court House, and surrounding areas can donate toys to National Kidney Services (NKS) and help support the fight against kidney disease. Your contribution will help us generate proceeds that go directly to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and its programs for kidney disease awareness, education, patient advocacy, and early detection. NKF is a nonprofit health organization that has been named a Four-Star Charity by Charity Navigator.
NKS encourages you to donate used toys, stuffed animals, board games, and a variety of other items, such used men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, shoes, small furniture, small appliances, electronics, books, kitchenware, and decorative items. We offer free donation pick up services for our donors throughout Columbus and Central Ohio. Simply call 614-351-2900 or fill out our online form to add your name and phone number to our regular call list.
You can choose from any of the following options to donate toys and other items to our local charity:
- Standard weekday donation pickups are available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to dark. Once you’ve been added to our call list, a representative will contact you approximately every 4-6 weeks to inquire if you have donations ready for pickup.
- Expedited pickups are available upon request if you need your items picked up in one week or less. This option is ideal when you need to clear a space out for a move, a home staging, a party, or a remodeling project.
- Special Saturday donation collections are available upon request for large donation loads, such as the unsold items from yard sales, community sales, and estate sales.
- Bring your used toy donations, or any other donations, to any Ohio Thrift store in Central Ohio. There are locations throughout Columbus, Whitehall, Grove City, and Washington Court House.
When you donate toys or other used items to our charity, you contribution is tax deductible*. A tax receipt can be obtained from your donation pickup driver or at Ohio Thrift donation centers. With all of these convenient ways to donate, charitable giving has never been easier.
