Donate Housewares in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, or Greensboro & Help a Worthy Local Charity
When you donate housewares that you no longer need, you’re clearing clutter from your home, helping a worthy Charlotte charity, and making the eco-friendly decision to reuse/recycle instead of throwing those unwanted items in the trash. National Kidney Services (NKS) encourages you to donate used housewares to our organization so that we can continue to raise awareness about chronic kidney disease.
There are currently more than 26 million Americans suffering from kidney disease and nearly 80,000 of them are still on the waiting list for a transplant. These numbers could be drastically reduced if more people knew about the causes of kidney disease, had information on how to avoid the risk factors, and could get access to free health screenings for early detection. With your help, NKS can provide the necessary funding to the National Kidney Foundation and its efforts to sustain educational health programs and prevention efforts.
In addition to housewares, you can donate a variety of other items to NKS, including:
- Men’s, women’s, and kids’ clothes
- Computers, DVD players, and other electronics
- Home and office furniture
- Small appliances
- Decorative items
- And more
To donate housewares by requesting a free donation pickup at your home or office, simply call 704-393-5780 or sign up online to be added to our call list. You can also donate housewares and other items by dropping them off at any Value Village thrift department store in Charlotte, Gastonia, Greensboro, Kannapolis, or Mooresville.
