Donate for Free with Pickup Service in Columbus, Dayton, Lancaster, Delaware, Springfield & throughout Central Ohio

Donate for Free ColumbusYou can donate for free in the Columbus area by requesting a donation pickup with National Kidney Services (NKS). Our local charity offers this complimentary service to our donors throughout Central Ohio so that anyone, regardless of their mobility or access to reliable transportation, has the ability to contribute to a worthy cause. Whether you’d like to donate dresses that you no longer wear or electronics that you’ve replaced with newer models, we gladly welcome a wide variety of used clothing and household items that you can donate for free.

Once you’ve gathered the items that you would like to donate for free, simply call 614-351-2900 or fill out our online form and choose from any of the following pickups:

  • Standard weekday pickup – Our donation pickup trucks operate Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to dark. An NKS representative will call you approximately every four to six weeks to ask if you have donations ready to be picked up.
  • Expedited pickup – For people who need their donations picked up in one week or less; the perfect option if you’re remodeling, moving, or home staging.
  • Special Saturday pickup – Saturday collections reserved for large donation loads; ideal for donating all the unsold items after yard sales, community sales, and estate sales.

You can also donate for free by bringing your donations to any Ohio Thrift store in Columbus, Whitehall, Grove City, and Washington Court House. These locations have agreed to accept donations on behalf of NKS, and you can obtain a receipt for your tax-deductible* donations at Ohio Thrift or from your donation pickup driver. Now that you know who to donate to and how to make a donation in the Columbus area, make today the day that you give to those in need.
