Donate in Charlotte & Beyond to Help Fight Kidney Disease

Donate in CharlotteIt’s easy to donate in Charlotte and other communities in North and upstate South Carolina because National Kidney Services (NKS) provides you with a variety of ways to help. By collecting your generous donations of used clothing and household items, we’re able to generate proceeds that go directly to the National Kidney Foundation, a charity that offers public awareness programs about kidney disease, free health screenings, opportunities for children to take part in Kidney Camp, and much more.

Whether you’re in Pineville, Concord, Huntersville, or Tega Cay, NKS offers our donors four easy ways to donate to charity:

  • Contact us by calling and requesting to be put on the donation pick up list. Our trucks operate Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to dark.
  • Fill out our online form and request to be put on our rotational pick up list, ensuring that you will get a call to schedule a pick up every four to six weeks.
  • Call or go online to schedule a special pick up, perfect for when you need to donate a large load or heavy items that require two drivers. Expedited pickups are also available if you need your donation picked up in one week or less.
  • Donate at any of the seven North Carolina Value Village donation locations in Charlotte (Freedom Drive, Central Avenue, and South Boulevard), Gastonia, Kannapolis, and Mooresville.

When you donate clothes and housewares to National Kidney Services, you’re supporting the 26 million people who already suffer from kidney disease and educating those who could be affected by the illness at some point in their lives. We encourage you to donate clothes, large or small furniture, small appliances, electronics, books, toys, linens, glassware, tableware, and much more. All donations to our charity are tax deductible.*
