Make a Clothes Donation & Get a Tax Deduction* in Charlotte, Winston-Salem & Greensboro

Clothes Donation Tax CharlotteResidents of Charlotte can make a clothes donation and get tax benefits* when they donate to National Kidney Services (NKS). As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, all contributions to our charity are tax deductible*. All you have to do is keep an inventory of the items you donate, estimate their value on the tax receipt that we provide, and deduct the amount from your total taxable income when filing your tax return.

In addition to a clothes donation, tax benefits* are available for any of the items you donate to NKS. We gladly accept a wide variety of used goods from residents of Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro, including:

  • Silverware, glassware, plates, and serving dishes
  • Small and large furniture like sofas, lamps, and tables
  • Small kitchen appliances and electrical items
  • Miscellaneous decorative items
  • Drapes, bedding, and other linens
  • CD players, DVD players, and radios
  • Hardback and paperback books
  • Toys, board games, and video game consoles

Requesting a complimentary donation pickup from your house, office, or apartment is easy when you donate housewares or clothes to NKS. Simply call 704-393-5780 and add your name to our regular donation contact list. Our drivers are available for pickups Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to dark.
