Give to Charity by Donating Clothes in Charlotte & Beyond

Charity Clothes CharlotteNational Kidney Services (NKS) is a locally based charity that accepts clothes and used household items as donations to help us in our fight against kidney disease. From small appliances and electronics to books and toys, any used items can make a real difference in helping us support programs for kidney disease awareness and early detection. With the help of the National Kidney Foundation, we’re able to reduce the number of people that develop this debilitating illness until, one day, we find a cure.

In addition to men's, women's, and kids' clothes, our charity accepts many types of items, and residents and businesses in the Charlotte area can reap a variety of benefits by giving tax-deductible* donations to NKS, including:

  • Clear clutter from your home or office. From computers, printers, and radios that you no longer use to old dishes and furniture, NKS gladly welcomes a wide variety of items that may be sitting in your attic or basement.
  • Help a worthy local charity in our efforts to support programs for public awareness about kidney disease, early detection initiatives, grants for research projects, and more.
  • Reduce the amount of waste you produce by donating durable goods that you no longer use instead of throwing them in the trash.
  • Receive the tax benefits of claiming the estimated value of your tax-deductible* charitable contributions.

To make a donation of household items or clothes to our charity, simply contact us at 704-393-5780 or fill out our online form and an NKS driver will come to your home on a rotational 4-6 week schedule, collect your donations, and leave a tax receipt for you. You can also obtain a tax receipt by bringing your donations to any Value Village thrift department store in the Charlotte area. We proudly serve donors in Charlotte, Myers Park, and surrounding areas.
