Making a Book Donation in Charlotte, Greensboro, High Point, or Winston-Salem Clears Clutter from Your Home

Book Donation CharlotteWhat does a book donation have to do with kidney disease? The answer is National Kidney Services (NKS). As a local charity, we know that not everyone in nearby communities has the resources to make monetary contributions, which is why we ask for donations that everyone has access to – a book donation, a bag of used clothing, or any other household items that you no longer want or need.

Approximately one in every eight adults in the United States has kidney disease, but this number could be drastically reduced if at-risk individuals had more access to early detection screening programs, educational literature, and other tools they needed to stay healthy. By collecting used items as donations, NKS is able to generate proceeds that help support kidney disease awareness programs established by the National Kidney Foundation.

Making a book donation is a great way to clear out those cluttered shelves in your home office, or finally get rid of those boxes of books in the basement. NKS gladly accepts a wide variety of books, including:

  • Paperbacks
  • Hardbacks
  • Reference books
  • Text books
  • Cookbooks
  • How-to books
  • Coffee table books
  • And many more

Making a book donation is easy because NKS offers complimentary donation pick up service for our donors throughout Charlotte, Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, and all surrounding areas. Simply contact us at 704-393-5780 or fill out our online form to add your name and phone number to our regular donation call list. You can also bring your tax-deductible* donations to any Value Village department thrift store in the Charlotte area. Put NKS at the top of your list of charities and make a difference today.
