Learn How to Donate to Charity in Columbus, Dayton, Lancaster & Throughout Central Ohio
Are you wondering how to donate to a Columbus area charity? National Kidney Services (NKS) and National Kidney Foundation of Ohio (NKF) know that many people want to contribute to charity, but some may not know where to donate or be able to make a donation drop off. That’s why we offer a convenient donation pick up service, in addition to a variety of donation drop off locations throughout Columbus and the surrounding areas.
Follow these easy steps to request a donation pick up from one of our courteous, professional drivers and you’ll never be in doubt about how to donate:
- Call 614-351-2900 or fill out our online form to add your name to our regular donation call list. NKS will contact you when we are scheduling pickups in your area. And don’t worry – we will make a donation pick up even if you can’t be at home on the scheduled day.
- Find items to donate to our charity. We gladly welcome men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, small appliances, electronics, decorative items, books, toys, small furniture, kitchenware, linens, and much more.
- Please bag or box all donations and label them with “NKS”. Place them outside in a dry place where they will be visible from the road. Donations can also be placed in an open garage or carport, but our drivers will not go inside your house or pick up donations that are not properly labeled.
- Since donations to NKS are tax deductible*, our drivers will always leave a tax receipt for you. It is often a good idea to take photos of your donated items so that you can accurately inventory their condition and their approximate value on your income tax deduction form.
